The Institute of Information Systems (IWI) – Information Management at the University of Bern invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher (100%) in the field of Digital Transformation and Digital Business.

The position is embedded in the research group led by Prof. Dr. Christian Matt, whose work addresses the strategic dimensions of digital transformation and the responsible design and use of AI in organizations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop an independent and internationally visible research profile in digital transformation and digital business
• Design, conduct and lead rigorous empirical research with the aim of publishing in leading journals
• Take on teaching responsibilities at Bachelor and Master levels
• Engage actively in the international research community
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary and international team
• Contribute to the acquisition of competitive third-party research funding

YOUR PROFILE

• Above-average doctoral degree (PhD) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Psychology or a related field
• Strong publication record or clear publication potential
• Interest in digital transformation, digital business and digital value creation
• Solid command of empirical and/or design-science research methods
• Excellent English language skills
• German skills or willingness to acquire them are an advantage
