During your thesis, you will identify and analyze new topologies to enable a highly efficient and small size bidirectional DC-DC converter. You will develop modulation concepts that enable soft switching across the entire operating range of the converter. Your job includes the electromagnetic and thermal design of high frequency power magnetic components. Furthermore, you will model and estimate power dissipation in semiconductors and high-frequency magnetics. Last but not least, you will optimize the proposed concept and validate it by simulation.
