Within the research group Social Cohesion and Polarization, which analyzes how inequalities arise and how they can be effectively countered, we are looking for a Student Assistant (f/m/d) to support ongoing applied research and policy consulting projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Data management, processing, and statistical analysis
- Literature searches and critical reviews of academic sources
- Support in preparing project reports, presentations, and publications
- Organizational assistance for research events and academic workshops
Under the guidance of experienced researchers, your work will focus on issues such as social policy design and evaluation, migration and integration, or means to promote inclusion and fight inequality.
Qualifications
- Ongoing advanced studies (Bachelor or Master) in economics, sociology, or data science
- Solid foundation in statistics or econometrics
- Experience with programming (e.g., Python, R, or Stata) for quantitative research
- High level of precision, especially when handling data and texts
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to present complex content in English and German
- Efficient, independent, and reliable working style, combined with a strong team spirit and the drive to meet high expectations
