PhD Student Position in HBV and Liver Fibrosis Research
Aufgaben:
Conduct analysis of upregulated/dysregulated kinases using kinase array validation
Examine the effects of HBV on hepatic stellate cell (HSC) proliferation through ERK/MAPK/PDGF signaling, assessing specific fibrosis markers
Profile cytokine/chemokine production in HSCs after transfection with HBV constructs and analyze HBV-transfected HSC impact on T-cell activation and regulatory T-cell induction in co-culture with human PBMCs
Investigate insulin receptor signaling modulation by different HBV mutants, focusing on insulin receptor surface expression and IRS1/2 phosphorylation
Independently plan, execute, and analyze experiments using advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g., tissue culture, flow cytometry, Western blotting)
Qualifikationen:
Master degree or equivalent in molecular medicine, biology, biochemistry or related fields
Solid hands-on research experience in basic cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology methods
Fascination and motivation for biomedical research in the field of virology
Enthusiasm to learn and implement novel technologies
High motivation for experimental lab work and data presentation
Ability to work in a team, sense of responsibility and proactivity
Basic knowledge in MS office (Word, Excel)
Fluent English
Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required.
