
Master Thesis Automated Driving Systems
Job Description
- During your assignment, you will implement, integrate and evaluate cutting-edge algorithms along the complete stack of an Automated Driving System with focus on perception or function and planning modules.
- The technological focus will be on Machine Learning, including End-to-End systems and Foundation Models, such as Vision Language Models (VLM) and Vision Language Agents (VLA).
- Your algorithms will run in real time on a prototype test vehicle.
- In addition, you will realize a system-driven evaluation in a system-in-the-loop simulation and on defined reference tracks.
- Last but not least, you will work in an agile and diverse research team.
Qualifications
- Education: Master studies in the field of Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or comparable with excellent grades
- Experience and Knowledge: excellent programming skills in Python and C++; knowledge of ROS and Machine Learning libraries is a strong plus
- Personality and Working Practice: you are a highly motivated, flexible team player
- Work Routine: office attendance required
- Languages: fluent in English and ideally good in German

Duration: 3 - 6 months
