At Bochum University of Applied Sciences, five positions are available at the earliest possible date for Research assistants (m/f/d) (EG 13) in the fields of engineering/mathematics/geosciences for a fixed-term position for scientific qualification (doctorate). The German Research Foundation (DFG) is funding the project entitled "A calibrated and virtual multi-scale wave measurement laboratory to improve and supplement flow measurements: From basic research to industrial application". Your task is to work on one of the following sub-projects: Development of numerical methods for flow simulation. Experimental flow research using ultrasound in hydraulic engineering. Experimental flow research using laser-optical methods in mechanical engineering. Experimental ultrasonic measurements in a flow context. Ultrasonic simulations on high-performance computers. During your employment, you are expected to complete a doctorate via the Promotionskolleg.NRW or a co-operative doctoral project in collaboration with a university.
