Technical Project Lead Product Development Precision Farming Solutions (f/m/x)
You take the technical responsibility for the development of new, connected, spectroscopic measuring and monitoring devices from the idea until commercial launch and beyond You coordinate internal as well as external development and EMS partners, that are distributed across various locations You ensure a smooth product development process and coordinate user, commercial and technical requirements You define project and communication structures, identify problems, and bring together relevant technical experts to solve these challenging problems You own the hardware roadmap and identify and assess possibilities to improve existing products for the next generation early on You create budget and capacity plans and align with relevant team- and ZEISS internal as well as external stakeholders concerning availability and feasibility You work in an exciting technology mix with colleagues from spectroscopy, electronics, software, machine learning and cloud technology.
Successfully completed studies in an engineering or natural science discipline Proven track record in specification, development and industrialization of hardware products / devices from initial demonstrators, ideally based on metrology/measurement technology Min. 3 years professional experience in leading R&D and industrialization projects Experience in translation of user requirements into product specification, ideally technical product management Experience in steering multiple EMS and/or development partners Knowledge of hardware product development and industrialization processes Ideally, experience in opto-spectroscopic metrology (VIS-NIR-absorption, -transmission and -reflection) Very good analytical skills as well as an independent and goal-oriented working style Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high degree of autonomy Solid communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams Professional English and German language skills.
