Standardization Expert Telecommunications & (Cyber-) Security (all genders)
As part of an agile team, you work with our clients from the public sector, i. e. security authorities and their stakeholders at federal or state level, as well as their suppliers On behalf of our customers, you develop technological concepts into international standards, develop options, evaluate them fairly and deal with existing standards or industry solutions You actively participate in SDO working groups, ISG, as well as related activities, and prepare insight reports based on your observations and findings. Further you support us with your know-how in the development and realisation of innovative solutions and lead / coordinate respective work packages or projects Based on your expertise, you support, give guidance and participate also in cross-sector projects within umlaut - the position is open to juniors and seasoned experts You support business development and R&D activities to establish and expand our customer footprint, additionally to our field of expertise
Technical background in IT, telecommunications and security and business fluent in German and English (spoken and in writing). Strong interpersonal and listening skills, as well as the capacity to clearly present and stand one's ground Willingness to participate in an extended security check done by security authorities and to reach consensus amongst stakeholders, but also go beyond «mere compromise on middle grounds» and find solutions that effectively answer a variety of industry interests Experience in hardware development, software development, cryptographic systems, internet protocols or applied research and willingness to stay up to date with practices in the industry and overall technology development Experience in the field of LI and related ETSI and 3GPP standards and their implementation & application is a big plus and with legal frameworks in the EU or policy making that relate to security & IT is a plus Experience in European and international Standards, as well as active participation in respective Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs) is a plus
